If you looking for affordable oil paintings and prints you have come to the right place. Jo Sharpe’s works are original and depict scenes from her home town in Norfolk as well as scenes from the beautiful Surrey area where she currently lives.
I studied printed textile design at Bretton Hall, a wonderful arts college set in Yorkshire Sculpture College which was part of Leeds University and began my career in the nineties selling fashion prints worldwide.
Brought up in East Anglia, I am inspired by the countryside of north Norfolk and the beauty spots of Surrey, Cornwall and the South of England. I love colour, creating surface pattern texture and playing with compositions.
I mostly paint in oils but also love to combine medias. I believe that oil paintings can be affordable and that everyone can own a piece of original art whether it is a commission, an oil painting or even a print. My range of botanical prints are a real contrast to my oil paintings and are created digitally but they also show my absolute passion for nature.
I spend my weeks painting and running my art classes and workshops. For more information on my art and what inspires me read my blog.
