Norfolk Paintings
These paintings celebrate a landscape I know deeply and continue to return to.
Original Norfolk Paintings
Norfolk is deeply personal to me. I grew up there, and I still find endless inspiration in its open landscapes and changing seasons. Many paintings begin with places I know well, including the fields and tracks around Hethersett.
I am drawn to golden crops, tangled verges, winter hedgerows and the huge skies stretching above them. Further north, the coast gives me a completely different mood. Blakeney, Wells-next-the-Sea and quieter beaches bring softer colours, shifting light and a wonderful sense of space.
However, I never try to copy a view exactly. Instead, I use colour, texture and expressive marks to capture how a place feels. Familiar landscapes often become something more personal through paint. For me, Norfolk will always feel like home.
My work is represented by selected galleries across the UK and has featured in exhibitions and collaborations including The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle and my Clover wallpaper collaboration with Standen House, National Trust.
