Description
Autumn in Nonsuch Park
Nonsuch Park in Cheam/Ewell is beautiful all year round but expecially in Autumn. It is fairly local to me so somewhere I walk with Tilly once a week.
My Inspiration for my painting
It was easy for me to produce a landscape painting of Nonsuch Park. Nonsuch Park is such a beautiful park in the boroughs of Epsom and Ewell and the London borough of Sutton. It is one of my favourite walks a few miles away from where I live. Henry VIII built Nonsuch Palace to use as his hunting lodge for the nearby Hampton Court in 1538. It provides me with much inspiration for my paintings including my ‘ Lone Tree at Nonsuch’. It is a large park to walk around and recently I came across another part called Warren Farm. I often use it for inspiration and created several paintings of Warren Farm meadow in 2020. This part of the park is managed by The Woodland Trust and they have create a gorgeous meadow in the summer that has wild planting to attract wildlife.
