My dandelion velvet cushion was inspired by a clump of dandelions on my walk to Oaks Park. I find much of my inspiration on my local walks.  To find out more read my blog ‘In many a walk.’

My botanical collection

This collection started  in 2016 with a series inspired by Cornish hedgerows. These digitally manipulated art prints are really beautiful, show my love of nature and quite different from my oil paintings. I am slowly turning these digital prints into large oil paintings and limited edition art cushions and lampshades.

My Bespoke Art Cushions look fantastic in interiors. Using my textile design background I am creating a coordinated range of home furnishings. Match  these with my botanical artworks to make your home look interior designed. I love beautiful interiors and I am happy to accept special orders changing the size and colour to suit clients tastes.

Textile Designer

I studied printed textile design at Bretton Hall College 1991-1994. Bretton Hall was an arts college set in the  grounds of the beautiful Yorkshire Sculpture Park and an affiliate of Leeds University, however it is now a luxury hotel. I sold my fashion fabrics designs to New York, London and Tokyo before working for the French textile house Nobilis in Chelsea, London.

Sustainability

As an artist inspired by Nature I care for the environment. These bespoke art cushions are made to order which means no unwanted wastage. They are printed in London and then posted back to be turned into cushions by me. Choose the sustainable option where they are printed onto organic cotton and have an up-cycled coordinated backing fabric. These include carefully sourced unwanted velvet curtains, denim jeans, a jumper or fabric remnants.
