FY278 and other Fishing-boats-in-a-harbour collage painting on paper

This is a collage and painting of boats moored  in a scenic cornish harbour capturing the quaint beauty of the location. It is painted using acrylics and water based oil paints onto collage. It measures 45cm x 64 cm and looks great in a frame.

Cornwall is one of my favourite places.

Fowey is a beautiful harbour in Cornwall and that is where I got the inspiration to paint FY278 and other fishing-boats-in-a-harbour. I would love to go to Cornwall once a year and spend more time there. What’s not to love? the scenery, the coastline the pasties and the art galleries. I can’t wait to go again. This painting was painted from a photo that I took several years ago. I love to paint the fishing boats with the white Cornish cottages in the background.  On this painting, I used the technique of collage to start with and painted over it with water based paints.

One of the pictures at the top page of my commissions page is a painting of Sennen Cove in Cornwall I painted as a commission. The customers liked my seascape paintings they saw at my Open Studios. They holidayed in the same house overlooking Sennen Cove for many years so it was a very special view to them.  It was a joy to do as I love to paint the sea. Please think of me should you wish to have your favourite scene painted. Rather than spending ages searching the net, you can get a work of art that is perfect for you. You can read how to go about it in my blog , How to commission a work of art.
